ON SEMIOTIC TEXTOLOGY AND TEACHERS’ TRAINING
Main Article Content
Abstract
Klaus Hölker and Carla Marello dedicate the volume they coedited (Hölker–Marello 2011) to János Sándor Petőfi in his three qualities: the man of science, the teacher and the friend. The paper aims to briefly overview the connections between Petőfi's semiotic text-studies and aspects ofhis didactic method. The first part presents the characteristics of Petőfi's activity as a teacher. Follows a presentation of how the development of his didactic method took form in specific details. The link between the researcher and his community, the teacher and his students are then presented. Ensues that semiotic text-studies provide ample opportunities, in that the field may become a constituent of the general curriculum of studies. The creative-productive text exercises developed in Hungary together with Zsuzsa Benkes can also attract those interested in joining the community of those following Petőfi's approach.
